Decanter - A tasting of component barrels for this wine made for an instructive view of the vintage. Certain sites show the lightness of the vintage, fresh and peppery. Others, such as Bonnivières and Tartaras, exhibited the rigid, austere tannins that are quite common in 2021. Few barrels had great concentration or generosity of fruit; this is a vintage about structure and minerality rather than concentration or fruit sweetness. I would be inclined to leave this for a substantial amount of time before broaching, around 2031, by which time it should show good complexity and terroir expression, and may well be worthy of a higher score. All whole-bunch fermented, and matured mostly in old demi-muids.. Vinous - The 2021 Côte-Rôtie fermented with roughly 90% whole-clusters. Fragrant raspberry jam, crushed violets, cedar and licorice rise up from the glass. Spicy undertones and stemmy gradations add more layers. Framed by velvety tannins and balanced by bright acidity, this is a finessed$200.00Domaine J.L. Chave / Hermitage Blanc 2020 - 750ml, 2020

Lionel Faury Syrah / Les Hautes Ribaudes - 750ml, 2021
Warehouse stored item - please allow one to three business days to fulfill. Though a relatively new domaine, founded in 1979, Faury is rooted in traditions generations old. Under Philippe Faury's guidance, the winery has expanded to its current 17ha of vineyards, nearly all so steep that they must be terraced. Both Philippe and his son Lionel carry out backbreaking work to ensure the vineyards are perfectly cared for. The Faurys eschew new oak in large quantity, and fermentation is carried out only by foot pigeage. Black fruits, olives, and violets leap from the glass with this wine. On the palate this is filled with dark, rich blue and blackberry fruit with elements of black olive, dried herbs, and tapenade.$26.00

Domaine Duclaux Cote Rotie / La Chana - 750ml, 2022
In the southern end of Cote Rotie the soil is lighter in color and contains more gneiss. Many legends abound about the origin of the Cote Blonde but generally, the wines are more elegant, more finessed than their northern counterparts. Here 93% of Syrah with 7% of Viognier are sustainably grown and worked by hand just as was done centuries before by ancient Romans and Gauls. Unlike the wines of Guigal, this Cote Rotie is aged in used oak for twenty months allowing the terroir and fruit shine through. Silky and harmonious nose. floral and spicy. La Chana, is the lightest and most immediately complex of the three Duclaux bottlings. Very good intensity and smooth tannins. Andre Brunel Les Cailloux / Chateauneuf du Pape - 750ml, 2022
James Suckling ReviewRated 94A velvety, layered and restrained red with dark cherries, crushed raspberries, wild strawberries, baking spices and dried herbs on the nose. Full body with finely grained tannins. The balance and harmony is impressive for the vintage, with a funnelled long finish. Drink or hold.Wine Tasting NotesThe nose of Andre Brunel Chateauneuf du Pape Les Cailloux Rouge is characterized by its cleanliness and elegance. It showcases the red fruits that are typical of Grenache, along with the pepper and spice notes contributed by Mourvedre and Syrah. On the palate, the spices become more prominent, complemented by a subtle touch of oak. In comparison to the classic Chateauneuf-du-Pape, this wine leans towards a fruit-driven profile. It reveals its savory side through a lingering finish. While it is already approachable, it also has the potential to further develop and evolve over the next five to eight years.Grenache (70%), Mourvedre (20%), Syrah (10%)Alcohol 14.5%.$70.00Domaine Usseglio Les Claux / Cotes du Rhone Rouge - 750ml, 2022

Domaine J.L. Chave / St Joseph Offerus - 750ml, 2023
From the Winemakers' Website: The vineyards used for Offerus are located in two distinct St. Joseph areas. The communities of Mauves, Tournon, and St. Jean de Muzols yield over 80% of the blend and are owned by Jean-Louis. These southern vineyard sites express tightly wound tannins, spice, and power. They add structure and depth to complete the harmony of Offerus. The remaining vineyards are located in more northerly communities around Serrières, and even these are farmed mainly by Jean-Louis, though he doesn’t own the vineyards. This soil produces wines which are more elegant with incredible purity, definition, and focus..$36.00

Anne Pichon Sauvage Rose / Gris Montagne - 750ml, 2024
The micro-climate Anne Pichon’s vineyard is dry, with cool, manually tilled soils that retain moisture when it rains. And because of the Mistral that sweeps up from the hills below, fruit is less susceptible to rot and disease, providing and ideal environment for organic viticulture. Employing careful vineyard management, low yields and late harvesting, Pichon hand-harvests and destems all of the fruit. Reds are vinified in small 50 HL cement tanks or stainless steel, at low temperature to achieve a long maceration and two gentle pump overs daily, with additional manual punch downs if necessary. The fermentations extend 3 to 4 weeks with a slow progressive increase in temperature to extract a very fine tannin structure. The malolactic fermentation and ageing take place partly in oak barrels but mostly in cements tanks. White wines are made from only a light pressing of first run juice and vinified in stainless steel tanks with strict temperature control to maintain a balance of ripe fr$27.00
Domaine de Fondreche / Ventoux Blanc - 750ml, 2024
The Domaine de Fondrèche estate is situated at the foot of Mont Ventoux, the famous mountain in the Vaucluse department of the South of France. After a nocturnal harvest to avoid the heat and strong light, the grapes are pressed using a hyper-reductive system and without adding sulphites. They are then left to macerate at a very low temperature for 10 days before fermentation in stainless steel tanks and barrels. The wine is then aged on fine lees in a vat for a few months prior to bottling. We love this wine! With a clear, brilliant colour, it has a super expressive nose of white flowers, peach and apricot. Zesty citrus notes on the palate, the wine is mineral, fresh andsalty. Delicious.$22.00
