2025, Labastidie, “Le Perlé” Gaillac Blanc, Southwest, France $16.00/$13.60
This wine is made from the typical indigenous grape varieties of Gaillac, often Mauzac, sometimes complemented by Loin de l'Oeil as well as other local varietals, each contributing its own unique character and freshness. This offers aromas of delicate floral notes enhanced by subtle hints of yeast due to natural effervescence. The off-dry, slightly sparkling character of this wine makes it ideal for accompanying refined aperitifs, tapas, rillettes, or just casual quaffing.
2019, Mestres, “Coquet” Cava Gran Reserva Brut Nature, Catalonia, Spain $32.00/$27.20
The youngest and most approachable of the sparkling wines from Mestres, the Coquet is produced with the same care as the rest of the range—fermented and kept in stainless steel, but with a shorter aging with the lees in bottle, 42 months in this case, also closed with natural cork. It still has a mixture of fruit and flowers with spice and yeast notes and a lively palate with abundant bubbles, fresh and with nice balance, finishing dry.
NV, Marsuret, “San Boldo” Prosecco Superiore, Valdobbiadene, Italy $22.00/$18.70
Masuret Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore San Boldo Brut is an elegant and complex sparkling wine produced by the Marsura family, whose local nickname is Marsuret. They have a long tradition of producing wine in the Valdobiaddene hills and they own 111 acres of vineyards that are found scattered throughout the most. The bouquet is elegant and complex and shows golden apples with hints of wild flowers. Intense, dry and fresh on the palate.
2024, Julian Braud, “La Bulle de l'Ouest” Pet Nat, Muscadet, France $23.00/$19.55
With a crisp and refreshing palate, it enchants with notes of green apple, citrus, and floral hints, culminating in a melange of flavors that dance on the palate. This sparkling wine delights the senses from the outset poured, releasing an enchanting bouquet that tantalizes with its lively aroma. Infused with the essence of the Loire Valley’s terroir, it exudes fragrances of orchard fruits, flowers, and a subtle minerality, inviting you on a sensory journey with each sip.
NV, Domaine Jo Landron, “Atmospheres” Brut Méthode Traditionnelle, Loire, France $30.00/$25.50
Bursting with zesty citrus and floral notes with just a hint of seabreeze salinity, this is a wine you're going to want again and again before you even taste it. On the palate, it’s crisp and clean, with a vibrant acidity that lifts the fruit and enhances its freshness. The fine bubbles create a smooth texture, while the finish is refreshing and lingering, with a delicate touch of yeast and a hint of salinity that speaks to the coastal influence of the region.
NV, Coates & Seely, “Methode Britannique” Brut Reserve, Hampshire, England 48.00/$40.80
Pale gold in color, with a steady stream of fine bubbles; aromatically you'll find ultra-freshness and a distinctive sappy cool infusing the shy orchard fruits, like a sniff of an early spring morning before the mist has lifted. It's taut, tight and stony on the palate, in bracing aperitif style -- but the quality of the fruit, teased to ripeness over the long-houred English summer, is there for all to taste.
NV, Ferrari, Trento Brut Metodo Classico, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy $35.00/$29.75
The NV Trentodoc Brut entices with a bouquet that mixes savory and sweet, with nuances of white peach and mint complicated by hints of crushed stone and an enriching note of brioche. It reverberates with zesty tension as crisp orchard fruits and sour citrus tones are elevated by juicy acidity. The Brut finishes with amazing length and complexity, leaving salty mineral tones offset by a twang of sour lime. A sparkling wine of pronounced finesse.
2023, P.A.N.K. “Baro” Pet Nat Rose, Köveskál, Hungary $32.00/$27.20
NV, Laherte-Freres, Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature Champagne, Champagne, France $62.00/$52.70
Taken from vineyards on the southern slopes of Épernay and the Côte des Blancs, the chardonnay for this cuvée includes 50% reserve wine and receives zero dosage. It’s perfectly balanced as a non-dosé, its 20 percent of malolactic undoubtedly helping to create a better harmony of acidity, and while there is a pleasing depth of citrus and apple fruitiness, along with hints of dried mango and preserved ginger, this wine is all about soil and expression of place.
NV, Penet-Chardonnet, “Hypothesis” Brut Nature Blanc de Noirs, Champagne, France $56.00/$47.60
The Penet-Chardonnet's Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru is a pure Pinot Noir picked in Verzy and Verzenay, based mostly on the 2018 vintage with reserve wines aged in solera. With a slightly amber color, the wine develops toasty and spicy aromas, complemented by undergrowth and red fruit notes. The palate is particularly vinous yet fresh and balanced, with a long, pure finish.
NV, Sebastien Girost, “Dure Peine Lieu-Dit” Brut Champagne, Champagne, France $60.00/$51.00
This release, made entirely from Pinot Meunier from a single vineyard, Dure Peine, planted in 1929, is, in a word — captivating. It combines a delicate fruitiness, characteristic of Pinot Meunier, with an alluring yet delicate exotic kick. A steely backbone enhances its charms. Sometimes it’s nice to be off the beaten track.
2023, Paltrinieri, “Solco” Lambrusco dell'Emilia, Emilia-Romagna, Italy $21.00/$17.85
The Paltrinieri family has cultivated Lambrusco in Sorbara for over three generations, and today Alberto Paltrinieri is a leading voice in redefining the region’s wines. “Solco” — meaning “furrow” or “groove” — represents the estate’s more generous, fruit-forward expression. Vibrant and lightly sweet, with notes of ripe black cherry, plum, and violets. Creamy bubbles lead to a refreshing, gently tannic finish that keeps it balanced and lively.

Beers
Think globally, drink locally. The whole wide world is home to a variety of excellent styles of beers, some very well known, some a little more obscure.
Tonight we’ll be trying domestic craft versions of some of these styles. Ranging from hyperlocal to the further reaches of New England, try your hand at these fresh brews!
First Love (Dortmunder-style Lager, Arlington Brewing, Arlington, MA, 5.9%)
Named after the first style of beer that the ABC founders fell in the love with, First Love is a stunning example of the Dortmunder. A lager brewed in the style of an ale, this tasty quaff boasts a higher ABV and a more pronounced bitterness than your typical lager.
Facelift (English-style IPA, Moon Hill Brewing, Gardner, MA, 6.2%, 73 IBU)
Taking their cues from the original English IPAs, Moon Hill has crafted this delectable brew based on old recipes and using traditional Fuggles and East Kent Golding hops. Yes, there is that floral hoppy bitterness upfront, but the malty backbone and smooth breadiness thereof provide a wonderful complement and ensures that this doesn’t feel overly bitter. Smile!
Sagardo (Natural Ferment Dry Cider, Isastegi, Tolosa, Basque Region, ESP, 6.0%)
One of the oldest cideries in Spain, Isastegi is a family owned estate dating back to the 17th century. Using a variety of sharp and tangy apples harvested right from their own orchards, this funky and tart cider is both a taste of the region and a peek into the culture. For drinks and a show, this is sure to amaze your guests, especially when you show off your skills in pouring from height!
