Pinot Power! The Dosnons have lived in the village of Ligney and its environs for generations. Davy has recuperated a small percentage of the vineyards that his ancestors once possessed– the fruit from which goes into Champagne Dosnon – but he also purchases fruit from neighbors in the Cote des Bars for Champagne Henri Dosnon, a second label named in honor of his grandfather. This Pinot Noir-dominant Champagne offers a crisp bouquet of citrus, green apple, and pear, complemented by a delicate hint of brioche. The palate is bright and lively, featuring fine bubbles and fresh notes of lemon and orchard fruit, with a light chalky minerality and a subtle pastry finish. The structure that comes from Pinot Noir really shines through on the finish.
