A blend of Sangiovese, Aglianico, Barbera and Nero d'Avola, the Il Campo Rosso is beamingly bright, red-fruited and herbal on the nose, followed by a dramatically darker and more saturated palate than expected given the energy of the nose. It concludes with a perfect mix of juicy fruits, powdery tannins and a slightly charred, earthy touch that lends a bit of complexity.
