Party Line is a throwback to the old days of Zinfandel when California’s wine-growing families made wine for everyday consumption. In old Napa, a teenaged egg and produce farmer named Aldo Biale employed the code name ‘black chicken’ on the phone to keep his bootleg jugs of homegrown and homemade Zinfandel a secret from neighbors and authorities. Vibrant and versatile, Robert Biale Vineyards’ Party Line is a fully legal classic Zinfandel from vineyards within California’s North Coast region. Party Line is a fun and light hearted red wine that is made to enjoy now. Layered with aromatics of dusty strawberries, red licorice, black cherries and raspberry taffy. The entry is soft and weighty with succulent mid palate tannins that make for a long and juicy finish.

In northern California, winemaker Helen Keplinger is a serious powerhouse. After cutting her teeth at a series of standout wineries—including Grace Family, Bryant Family, Carte Blanche and others—she was named Wine amp; Spirits Magazine’s 2012 Winemaker of the Year and, two years later, graced the cover of Wine Spectator magazine. Today, most of her bottles boast prices sized to match her big list of her accomplishments. That’s one reason she created ‘Vermillion,’ a passion project in partnership with her husband DJ Warner, that doesn’t wear her name. Mirabelle is Schramsberg’s multi-vintage brut sparkling wine. This young, bright bubbly exhibits the crisp acidity and vibrant green apple/citrus fruit that is characteristic of cool-climate Chardonnay. Pinot Noir adds body, mid-palate and further richness of fruit flavor. Unlike our vintage bottlings, Mirabelle gains unique depth from blending additions of aged base wines, stored in barrels and tanks at the winery from prior vintages. These older lots add significant palate richness and aromatic complexity.
