The grapes for this Spätlese come from a parcel in the high-altitude heart of the Krettnacher Euchariusberg, below Arthur and to the left of Kugel Peter, not far from the world-famous Gisela parcel. From the glass, the wine smells wonderfully fresh and bright-fruited with yellow fruits such as lemon peel, honeydew melon, and a hint of pineapple, along with delicate herbal notes of chamomile and a salty-mineral undertone. On the palate, it is incredibly firm and compact with recurring indigenous fruit notes, appearing very precise, self-contained, and profound with a distinctly mineral finish.
