Tucked in between such esteemed producers as Cheval Blanc, Figeac, and Angelus, Chateau Valois shares some of the best terroir in Pomerol but still manages to fly under the radar for all but the savviest Pomerol enthusiasts. Merlot-dominant, this shows a lush and silky character that showcases an expressive bouquet of ripe dark fruits, including blackberry and plum, complemented by hints of cocoa, spice, and earthy nuances. The palate is full-bodied and refined, featuring silky tannins and a long, harmonious finish.
