Álvaro Palacios, whose family owns the prestigious Rioja Bodega, Palacios Remondo, spent two years at the legendary Château Pétrus before setting up on his own in Priorat in 1989. From the outset, he set out to produce world-class wines using fruit from extremely low-yielding old vines and applying utilizing modern winemaking techniques. The original Clos Dofí now called Finca Dofí was one of the first great clos that catapulted the wine region of Priorat to fame. The vineyard is u-shaped with exposures to both the south and north. Adopting a biodynamic and organic approach, everything is done by hand and during harvest many passes through the vines are undertaken in order to get the most optimal fruit. Renown for its round, voluptuous and velvety style Finca Dofí is a sensual juicy red wine with flavours of red cherry and nectarine balanced by fine grained tannins. A wine to grace any dining table.

Cesca Vicent is a unique property located in the heart of Priorat, in the town of Gratallops. It is owned and run by Francesca Vicent (better known as Cesca), a fifth-generation producer. Her family has been farming grapes in this area since the 16th century. Cesca's Priorat, a blend of Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Carignan, is fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel, then aged for 8 months in French oak. The wine is opaque ruby in color and possesses ripe red currant, plum, blackberry and eucalyptus aromas. On the palate, the wine is rich and full-bodied with concentrated baked fruit and spice flavors, soft, mouth-coating tannins and a long, intense finish.

Unlike prior vintages that showed a pure Grenache expression of the terroir, this vintage blends small amounts of Carignan as well as a touch of other blending grapes into the mix. Nonetheless, the Grenache is doing the talking in this stunner. Great fruit concentration with barrel maturation and Priorat’s minerality and climate gives Ceps Nous its characteristic tension and strength. Cherry red color with purple highlights. Concentrated aromas of black fruit with a touch of balsamic. Red fruit and vanilla develops. Medium tending toward full body with firm yet smooth tannins complementing the rich fruit. The wine’s tension interplays with fruitiness, leading to a long finish.

The remote, rocky hillsides just south of Barcelona is where the celebrated Priorat wine region is located. With wine production here dating back to Roman times, the wines are concentrated and full of character thanks to the very low yields produced by the region’s extraordinarily harsh conditions. Opening with aromas of slate, crushed roses, cocoa, dried herbs, gravel and dried currants. This wine is fresh and fruity, luscious, yet light on its feet. Upfront it’s silky on the palate with black cherry, blood orange, sweet tobacco, star anise and cacao.

Merum Priorati is one of the most important wine estates in Priorat, founded in 2004 by two Catalan families, and located in the east of the appellation around the pretty village of Porrera. The three vineyard plots (Les Foreses, Plana Marjot and Les Escomelles) cover a total of 103 hectares, but just 29ha are given over to vines, as this is one of the wildest, most rugged terrains where few vines thrive and those that do produce less than 1 kg of grapes per vine (and as low as 250g per vine for the older Garnacha and Cariñena plants). The of this wine nose is rich with red fruit, bringing raspberries and redcurrants to mind, with notes of aniseed. Fresh and fruity on entry, red fruit once again comes to the fore, this time blended with echoes of vanilla from its brief stint in oak. It is well balanced and its mature, velvety tannins usher in a long, elegant finish.

Expertly crafted and aged, Finca Tobella Bocins Negre Priorat boasts a deep purple hue and a complex aroma of ripe red fruits, red licorice, black pepper and vanilla. Upon first tasting the wine you are struck by the rounded, jammy intensity, the wine offers a long and fruity aftertaste, making it the perfect accompaniment to roasted meats, pasta, and rice dishes.

The wine greets the senses with a fragrant bouquet of ripe fruits, minerals, and spices, heralding a rich and captivating sensory experience. Visually, it boasts a clear, dark mahogany hue enriched with enticing purple tones, hinting at its intense character. On closer examination, the aroma of ripe fruits dominates, complemented by subtle nuances of minerals and spices that become more pronounced with proper aeration.

Deep cherry red color with purple reflections, with aromas of black fruits, vanilla and toasted almond. The mouth is round and potent, concentrated with hints of marmalade and cocoa. Persistent aftertaste, elegant and balanced with fine nuances from the ageing process.
