Our Pinot gris is an elegant expression of this versatile varietal. Intensely aromatic powdery floral notes give way to a palate of Asian pear, Meyer lemon and rose petal. Balanced and crisp, this wine is a great match for many dishes from chicken paella or moules-frites to pork roast.

All of Anne Amie wines are estate grown and the winery holds 3 sustainability certifications in Oregon. Designed to be fruit forward, with a minimal amount of aging in new wood, this fits the bill. The fruit is a juicy mix of pomegranate, tart red berries and sour cherry. There’s a peppery lift and plenty of acidity, but the overall balance and focus are spot on. Just when you think it’s a fairly simple wine, it kicks in another gear and finishes with unexpected length and depth and a flash of chocolate.

Brooks Eola-Amity Hills / Pinot Noir

Youthful, easygoing, and approachable. A burst of Fuji apple, bubblegum, and starfruit dance along to a smooth, rich finish carried by an herbal mintiness. Beautiful pale salmon color, high acid, and focused. While the fruit conveys a light, fresh style the body has a slight strawberry and cream component that broadens its complexity.

The 2021 Infinite Air Castles wafts up with an airy freshness, blending plums and ripe blackberries with hints of sage. This washes across the palate, graceful and finessed, with tart red and blue fruits motivated by brisk acidity, as a staining of primary concentration adds traction toward the close. Gently tannic, the 2021 finishes with a pleasantly bitter trace while leaving the palate completely reset for another sip. This is a lovely blend of 75% Gamay and 25% Dolcetto that I would welcome at the dinner table any night of the week.

Evening Land Vineyards is a Californian wine producer, located just south of Portland in Oregon. It specializes in producing high-quality wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the estate vineyards which are planted in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA (American Viticultural Area). The estate is based around the Seven Springs vineyard, which was first planted in 1982. The east-facing slopes here, at approximately 2300 feet (700 meters) above sea level provides a favourable altitude for viticulture. The iron-rich volcanic soils that cover the hill have long proved a good terroir for Pinot Noir, which makes up the bulk of production. Evening Land was founded in 2005, and since then, has expanded to also include mulitple vineyards in the Sonoma County appellation.
