2024, Frenzy, “Mount Richmond Estate” Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand                                  $18.99/$16.14

A surprisingly complex Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough. Quintessential grassy, gooseberry, passionfruit, and citrus notes along with melon and peach. The body is light with zippy acidity and wonderful flavors of blossom, guava, mango, passionfruit, and grapefruit. If you enjoy NZ Sauv Blancs, definitely try this!

2024, Bodegas Nekeas, “Vega Sindoa” Chardonnay, Navarra, Spain                                                                     $14.99/$12.74

Vega Sindoa Unoaked Chardonnay is a cool-climate, Atlantic interpretation of an old-world styled, stainless steel fermented Chardonnay from one of Navarra's coolest and highest altitude terroirs. Peach, melon and pear qualities on

the nose and in the mouth, accompanied by a floral nuance. Silky and open-knit, finishing with good length and a hint of lemon pith that adds a refreshingly tart ending note.

2021, Tornatore, “Pietrarizzo” Etna Bianco, Sicily, Italy                                                                                            $37.99/$32.29

The Pietrarizzo Contrada, since the last century, is considered by the natives of the Etna region as one of the finest vineyards in the area. On the nose, this shows pleasant hints of exotic fruits, especially of grapefruit and white peach, with a subtle seabreeze kind of aromatic touch. This wine shows its true identity on the palate with a pleasant flavor and freshness with a beautiful structure, complemented by an extraordinary minerality, and long, refined finish.

2024, Vigne Surrau, “Limizzani” Vermentino di Gallura, Sardinia, Italy                                                                $18.99/$16.14

Sardinia is home to some of the finest Vermentino and the Vigne Surrau can be counted among them.  Their Vermentino is fresh, layered, and pure with good concentration and structure, and zippy acidity. The bold palate doles out flavors of saline, lime, lemon, minerals, green apple, ginger, almonds, and flowers. A winner with shellfish and fish.

2024, Alois Lageder, “Misto Mare” Vigneti delle Dolomiti Bianco, Alto Adige, Italy                                          $19.99/$16.99

Inspired by the diversity of the Dolomites, Misto Mare blends grapes from sustainable and biodynamically farmed vineyards of Alois Lageder’s vintner partners. This wine unites over 14 grape varieties from new partners, including white and red grapes sourced from various regions of Alto Adige, showcasing a range of altitudes and soils. The nose is subtly aromatic and multi-layered, with floral and fruity nuances. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, fresh and juicy, with a hint of tannin that adds a lively, mouthwatering structure. The finish is long and persistent.

2024, Bargemone, Rose, Aix en Provence, France                                                                                                     $23.99/$20.39

Bargemone is among the foremost estates of the Coteaux d’Aix appellation of Provence. A benchmark producer of the delicious, dry rosé for which Provence is famous. Offers classic aromas of wild strawberries and red currants, with a light, floral character and a crisp, bone-dry palate. A rosé of reference, to be enjoyed year-round on its own or with a wide range of lighter fare and Provence-inspired cuisine.

2023, Maison Noir, “In Sheep’s Clothing” Pinot Noir, Oregon                                                                                 $24.99/$21.24

In Sheep's Clothing Pinot Noir opens with inviting aromas of black cherry, ripe raspberry, and crushed cranberry, layered with hints of forest floor, fresh thyme, and a touch of cocoa powder. The palate is supple and silky, offering a harmonious balance between its juicy red fruit core and refreshing acidity. Subtle oak influence adds gentle nuances of clove and toasted almond, while soft tannins provide a smooth, lingering finish.

2023, Masi, “Campofiorin” Rosso Veronese, Veneto, Italy                                                                                      $21.99/$18.64

In 1964, Campofiorin was the first in a new category of wines, reinventing the technique of double fermentation and continually updating it. This is the original Supervenetian created by Masi in 1964 and internationally recognised as the prototype for a new category of wines from the Veneto. On the nose, it releases enveloping aromas of cherries and small ripe red fruits intertwined with notes of sweet spices. The sip is soft and pulpy, supported by a rich taste and a velvety and decisive tannic texture. With a good persistent finish.

2021, Castello Di Fonterutoli, “Badiola” Toscana Rosso, Tuscany, Italy                                                                 $18.99/$16.14

Shall we call this a “mini” Super-Tuscan? We shall! This assertive and flavorful red’s blend combines the local stalwart Sangiovese (80%) and the requisite Bordeaux varietal Merlot. Snappy red cherry flavors are given depth and structure by lower toned dried fruit notes. A light grip of tannin in the finish allows Badiola to stand up to some hearty winter fare.

2023, Ridge, “Three Valleys” Red Wine, Sonoma County, California                                                                    $34.99/$29.74

Made since 2001 from a number of Sonoma County vineyards, the 2023 Three Valleys blends Zinfandel, Carignane, Petite Sirah,  Mataro, and Alicante Bouschet from Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma Valley, and Russian River Valley. Floral, it is complex and less rustic than usual, the vintage showing classic charm and elegance. Though it is one of Ridge's largest production wines, it is made in the exact same way as all its others, in open top tanks with real oak and native fermentations. It's meant to represent a vintage more than a location.

2018, Burgess, “Contadina” Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, California                                                           $42.99/$36.54

The Contadina Cabernet Sauvignon from Burgess is a powerful, old-school wine. Dark cherry, plum, scorched earth, game, licorice and tar give the wine plenty of complexity. Big, potent tannins lend quite a bit of muscle, but there is more than enough fruit and overall balance to support many years in the cellar. Dark red fruit, mint, spice and licorice linger. This is very nicely done and a superb value from a producer that tends to fly under the radar.

2021, Muga, Rioja Reserva, Rioja Alta, Spain                                                                                                              $39.99/$33.99

The winery’s flagship, the wine that introduced Muga to the world, the Muga Reserva is Tempranillo-dominant, with Garnacha, Mazuelo, and Graciano filling in the gaps. This offers tremendous quality, fermented in wooden vats using indigenous yeasts, the grapes separated by quality, soil type, and village origin. This one in particular is from a beautiful vintage and practically beams in full-bodied concentration, with supple, silky tannins and light touches of oak spice, cedar, balsamic, and white pepper.
