2024, Patricia Green, Sauvignon Blanc, Willamette Valley, Oregon                                                                     $27.99/$23.79

This classic Sauvignon Blanc shows high-toned and heavily fruited aromatics with a distinct limey/citrus tinge along with the hint of straw and minerals which is what ripe Sauvignon Blanc should have as its varietal typicity. The strength of the aromatics resounds in the glass as the wine is deeply fruited with citrus notes at the entry giving way to tropical fruit with extremely crisp acidity on the finish while still having enough palate weight that there is length and complexity. The wine is bright and fresh but retains an enormous amount of texture and richness without being heavy.

2023, Monte Rio Cellars, “The Bench” Vermentino, Lodi, California                                                                   $26.99/$22.94

Vermentino from the biodynamically farmed Bench Vineyard in the Clements Hills appellation of Lodi County. The fruit was hand harvested and fermented on skins until dry before pressing to neutral oak. This wine is fresh, vibrant, with aromas of lemon curd, crisp green apple, grapefruit peel, and notes of White tea on the nose. The flavors on the palate are cantaloupe, apricot, Pink grapefruit peel, dried fennel, interwoven with a dry finish.

2024, Patricia Green, “Helen Dusschee” Tempranillo Rose, Willamette Valley, Oregon                                  $31.99/$27.19

The latest version of this wine continues the bright, juicy tradition that Lemonade has become. Berries and citrus dominate with ripe raspberry, juicy grapefruit, pink apple, Meyer lemon, wet stones and lifted floral aromatics. High quality, organic vineyards were used, the fruit was picked at an optimal time for rosé, and the wine was steadily crafted into a bright and juicy, delicious rosé.

2022, Monte Rio Cellars, Carbonic Zinfandel, Lodi, California                                                                               $25.99/$22.09

Forget what you think you know about Zinfandel! This wildly fun and expressive take on California’s greatest varietal is all about zesty refreshment and enjoying time spent with friends and family. Think: strawberry rhubarb pie meets raspberry lime rickeys with a snappy red fruited vibe. This is the bottle you want when pizza, tacos, and/or good times are on the menu.

2023, Emme Wines, “We Touch in Silhouette” Grenache, Shake Ridge Ranch, California                              $36.99/$31.44

Shake Ridge Ranch is a magical vineyard, and the Grenache from here is extra special – light in color, beautiful aromatics, but with a consistently strong tannic backbone that makes the wine very age-worthy. Light as a feather but not lacking in flavor in the slightest, this wine is about as pretty an expression of Grenache that we’ve tasted… ever? A truly compelling expression of a grape whose time has come.
