Barewolf is a small but mighty brewery out in Amesbury, and they focus on local ingredients and wonderful beer with clean ingredients. They don't just settle for humdrum flavors, nor do they have 30 different IPAs. There's a world of beer styles out there, and Barewolf loves them all. The Beer Geek sez: Barewolf likes to play around, and Poppies, their take on the classic French saison style, certainly is unique. With notes of yellow apple and peppercorn, and pouring a light golden hue, it does hearken back to the days of yore and traditional saisons, with a distinct US twist.
