It was nearly a year ago that Julian Erggelet happened into the shop to have a look around. He was in town visiting family that lived in the neighborhood and he decided to take a peek at what we have going on here in the shop. We struck up a conversation about wine and the more we talked, the more I liked what I was hearing from him - organic polycultures, minimal intervention, holistic farming practices, etc. I was disappointed to discover that, at the time at least, the wines weren’t available in Massachusetts. A little poking and prodding later, the wines finally arrived.
The Malvasia Bianca is their only white wine, but it’s absolutely tremendous. The aromatics positively burst from the glass with notes of rose, pineapple, coconut, and honeysuckle. On the palate this wine shows lemon curd, green apple, and tropical notes with a subtle creamy texture that finishes very dry. Outstanding stuff.
