While la Pousse d'Or is most closely associated with the village of Volnay in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, they also own property in the Côte de Nuits. This wine is coming from the village of Chambolle-Musigny and it showcases the hallmark perfume, finesse and purity for which Chambolle-Musigny is renowned. The nose is beautifully aromatic, revealing aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry and raspberry, complemented by notes of rose petals, violet, gentle spice and subtle earthy complexity. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with silky, fine-grained tannins, vibrant natural acidity and a beautifully supple texture, delivering flavours of red cherry, cranberry and wild berries layered with hints of forest floor, spice and delicate minerality.
