This Saturday, 4–6 PM, Gabbie is pouring a lineup that’s all about discovery. Five wines that show just how fun it can be tvibe off the familiar path.

From a crisp white from Portugal and a Sicilian white with plenty of personality, to a refreshing French rosé, a juicy chillable carbonic red, and a classic Italian Rosso di Montepulciano. There’s a little something for every palate.

Come taste something you may not normally reach for. Gabbie will walk you through all five, answer your questions, and maybe help you find your next favorite bottle.

Muxagat Douro Branco - 750ml, 2023

The Muxagat Branco 2023 is a refreshing, mineral-driven white wine from the Douro Superior region of Portugal. Produced by Muxagat Vinhos (under the guidance of legendary winemaker Luís Seabra and Susana Lopes), it continues the estate's reputation for minimal intervention, high-altitude and textural complexity, terroir-focused wines that prioritize freshness over heavy oak.

Gulfi Valcanzjria / Terre Siciliane Bianco - 750ml, 2024

On Sicily’s southeast coast, there are few people crafting wines as good as Gulfi. Working with indigenous and international grape varieties, this blend of Carricante and Chardonnay is fruity, floral, and textured, with a lovely layer of complexity added by prolonged lees contact. Chamomile, jasmine and lemon notes are joined by warming dough and white peach. Incredibly balanced with such a lovely mouthfeel, this minimal intervention, organic certified Sicilian white will bring a smile to your face.

Les Petites Jamelles Rose - 750ml, 2025

Brilliant and deep pink coloured. It is fruit forward and aromatic, with nice scents of strawberry, cherry and grenadine. This fresh and easy-drinking wine has a round and long palate.

Joseph Jibril Carbonic Red - 750ml, 2024

The winemaking duo of Joseph-Jibril are dedicated and hardworking winemakers that have been responsible for making some very serious (and very expensive) wines over their careers, but when they started their own winery, they took that level of skill and mixed in a healthy dose of irreverence and curiosity and haven’t looked back since. Their “Carbonic” red is loosely inspired by the Passetoutgrains wines of Burgundy and is a blend of Pinot Noir and Valdiguie that give snappy red fruits like cranberry, pomegranate, and raspberry mixed with subtle spice elements, this is like a hyper-delicious Agua de Jamaica but somehow better in every way.

Avignonesi Rosso di Montepulciano - 750ml, 2024

Bright ruby red in colour. On the nose, it reveals fresh notes of violet, strawberry and blueberry, enriched by subtle hints of wild myrtle and black cherry. The palate is juicy and lively, with a gradually building aromatic intensity. The tannic structure is fine and well-balanced, supported by a pleasant freshness and lingering echoes of cherry, typical of Sangiovese. An immediate, harmonious wine, ready to be enjoyed.
