Beers
Cloudy, yeasty and quintessentially summer in a can, we’ll be trying three hefe weiss (a.k.a. hefeweizen) beers tonight. The perfect beach or barbecue beer, these quaffable brews can also be used as marinades for your meats and veg before going on the grill. A refreshing Hefeweizen showcase, featuring classic wheat beers packed with notes of banana, clove, citrus, and spice.
Herring Run (Arlington Brewing Company, Arlington, MA)
Traditionally hazy, Arlington has crafted this delectable beer to balance the clove and banana aromas and flavors that are the hallmarks of a hefe.
Toucan Hefe (Mango Hefeweizen, Hobbs Brewing, Ossipee, NH, 5%)
Light, crisp and thirst quenching.
Dunkles Hefe Weizen(Dark Wheat Beer, Tucher, Nuremberg, DE, 5.2%)
Tucher has a long history of brewing wheat beers, getting their start in 1672 as the municipal wheat beer brewery of Bavaria.
